9 super drinks for navratri

Navratri is a festival of worship Goddess Durga. It’s a nine-day celebration of fasting and enhancing faith on deity. Navratri is truly belonging to your karma.

Fasting for 9 days can increase your will power and teach us to control our desires. Fasting is not only process of cleaning your body, but it will cleanses your soul with good thoughts, good karma and bring out new ideas and new hope for life.

Chaitra Navratri is very auspicious festival and more of the people keep fast. This navratri is followed with changing weather, it starts from autumn and move towards summers. In this season body requires more water and it’s important to keep hydrated while fasting for 9 days

There is a list of liquids which will help you to keep hydrated and gives energy and increases stamina:

  1. Green Tea: contain oxidants, caffeine; and boosting our metabolism. Also contain polyphones which detoxify our body.
  2. Citrus Fruits Juice: citrus fruits like oranges, grapes, berries are rich source of vitamin, minerals, fiber which purifies blood and remove excess amount of toxins from our body.
  3. Coconut Water: coconut water is a natural super drink or magical drink having qualities to improve stamina.
  4. Lemon Juice: great source of vitamin C, lemon juice is most popular summer drink. It energies your body during fasting
  5. Lassi or Sweet Curd (Yogurt): it contain sodium, potassium, fat and carbohydrate, you will mix it with fruits also and make raitya, its good in taste and decrease your hunger.
  6. Dry Fruit Milk: milk is also another super drink that will gives you energy for doing work and decreases weakness occurs through fasting. Adding dry fruit to milk can increases its nutrition value and it good for health.
  7. Sugar Cane Juices: sugar cane juice can improve your digestion and it will keep your body cool inside.
  8. Teas: milk tea can also help you while fasting, but you will make sure that not too much cup of tea will be taken during fasting. It is harmful in access amount.
  9. Sweet Lime Juices: it’s a refreshing drink and rich source of vitamins, sweet lime juice have cooling property especially for summers it will help you to keep hydrated.
