Taliban terrorists have weapons over USD 80 billion

The weapons given by America in 20 years are now in the hands of the Taliban. More than 85 percent of the world’s countries Black Hawk helicopters are now in the possession of the Taliban. Terrorists may not know how to fly aircraft, but the cost of their parts can make them rich.

The hasty withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan by the US, the effect of this was that now the entire country including Kabul is under the control of the Taliban. Even the Afghan army, prepared by the US at the cost of $ 88 billion proved ineffective and most of the soldiers succumbed to the Taliban.

After this surrender of the soldiers, the Taliban have got those dangerous weapons of America, which are not even with many countries around the world. In this regard, on Thursday night, a Republican Party MP and former Navy reserve soldier held a press conference and made many big claims.

The Democrat Party of Joe Biden, who is in power in America, has been fiercely surrounded by the opposition Republican Party on the issue of Afghanistan. One of its lawmakers, Jim Banks, said: “Because of the negligence of the Biden administration, the Taliban now have billions of dollars worth of US military equipment. These include 75,000 vehicles, more than 200 aircraft, and more than 600,000 small arms.” The Taliban now have more Black Hawk helicopters than 85 percent of the world’s countries. They have night-vision goggles, body armor, and medical supplies. The Taliban now have biometric records, fingerprints and eye scans of those Afghans, Who helped America in the last 20 years”.

The Pentagon, the US Department of Defense, has not released figures for spending on providing weapons to Afghanistan. The Biden administration has blocked it as sensitive information in the wake of the war. However, according to the Office of the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR), a war spending watchdog set up by the US Congress, the figures are somewhat different.

In fact, it has been clarified in the report of the watchdog that the US has spent $ 88 billion on the training and weapons of the Afghan army. The Defense Department has only provided figures of the amount spent on weapons between 2005 and 2021. It was shown around $ 18 billion. However, some other reports have rejected these figures outright. A New York Post report claimed that from 2002 to 2017, the US provided weapons worth $ 28 billion to the Afghan army. In another report, this expenditure was said to be more than $ 35 billion between 2001 and 2021.

According to a report sent by SIGAR last month, the Afghan army had many large weapons before the Taliban regime came to Afghanistan. These include 6 lakh M16 assault rifles, 1 lakh 62 thousand communication equipment, 16 thousand night vision goggles, machine guns, about 1 lakh vehicles, and about 16 thousand intelligence surveillance equipment for operating the army at night. As of June this year, the Afghan army also had 211 aircraft, whose number was later increased. These included the Black Hawk helicopter to the A-29 Super Tucano attack aircraft and the C-208 light attack aircraft.
