I pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in such a terrible pandemic and express my condolences to the families.

PM Modi said I am representing the country that has the pride of Mother of Democracy. We have a great tradition of democracy dating back thousands of years. On this 15th August, India entered the 75th year of its independence. Our diversity is the hallmark of our strong democracy. A country in which there are dozens of languages, hundreds of dialects, different living habits, food, and drink. This is an example of Vibrant Democracy.

PM Modi said India’s vaccine delivery platform CoWIN is providing digital assistance to administer crores of vaccine doses in a single day. I want to inform UNGA that India has developed the world’s first DNA vaccine which can be administered to all people above 12 years of age. Scientists in India are also engaged in the development of a nasal vaccine. Realizing its obligation towards humanity, India has once again started giving vaccines to the needy of the world. He said, today I also invite the vaccine manufacturers from all over the world to come and make the vaccine in India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, with retrograde thinking, countries which are using terrorism as a political tool, have to understand that terrorism is an equally big threat to them. It is very important to ensure that the soil of Afghanistan is not used for spreading terrorism and terrorist attacks. We also have to be careful that no country tries to use delicate situations as a tool for its selfishness.

Addressing the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Our seas are also our common heritage, so we have to keep in mind that we use ocean resources and not abuse them.” Our seas are also the lifeline of international trade. Many types of questions are being raised on the UN today.
