Epsilon Variant of Corona Virus may deceive the Vaccine

Scientists at the University of Washington have found in their study that the CAL.20C variant can also betray monoclonal antibodies along with lab-grown antibodies.

The spike protein of the epsilon variant of the coronavirus has created a new problem. Scientists have found in the study that due to the mutation in the variant, they are able to cheat the immunity of people who have already been infected with existing vaccines.

Scientists at the University of Washington have found in their study that the CAL.20C variant can also spoof monoclonal antibodies along with lab-prepared antibodies. Not only this, it can also neutralize the antibodies made in the plasma of people who have been vaccinated.

Scientists say that in such cases the role of neutralizing antibodies is important so that the defense mechanism against the virus can be strengthened. The epsilon variant was identified in May last year in California, USA. After this, its cases were found in 34 countries.

America was badly affected by the delta variant of Coronavirus, America is now in the grip of the Delta variant. Amidst the havoc of Delta in Indonesia, the US health organization Center for Disease Control and Prevention has said that Delta is the factor of 51.7% of infections currently coming from America. The CDC has reported that 80 percent of new cases of infection in some parts of the US are linked to Delta.

Delta is getting 74.3 percent of cases in the western state of Utah, Colorado. Delta is responsible for 58.8 percent of new cases of infection in Texas, Louisiana Arkansas, Oklahoma. Delta is 51.7 percent of the new cases of the corona, while the alpha variant is a factor in 28.7 percent of the infection.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Energy and Infectious Diseases of America, says that it is very important to get the vaccine in the midst of the increasing outbreak of the delta variant. This form of the virus can be dangerous or cause serious problems for people who have not been vaccinated.
