Zelensky no more interested for NATO membership

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine will no longer be a member of NATO. They also said they were ready to ‘compromise’ the status of two separate pro-Russian regions (Donetsk and Luhansk), which President Vladimir Putin declared independent on February 24, just before the start of the attack, and recognition was given. These are the same issues that are believed to be the root of the war between Russia and Ukraine. He has taken this decision with the aim of pacifying Russia.

According to reports, Zelensky said that NATO is not ready to accept Ukraine. The Alliance (NATO) is afraid of controversial things and a confrontation with Russia. Referring to NATO membership, Zelensky said that he does not want to be the president of a country that is demanding something on its knees.

Russia has said that it does not want neighboring Ukraine to join NATO. Russia sees NATO expansion as a threat, as it does not want the forces of these new Western allies at its doorstep.

Putin declared Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine independent shortly before he shocked the world by ordering an attack on Ukraine. Now Putin wants Ukraine to recognize him as an independent country. In this regard, Zelensky said that he is ready for talks.
