On April 1, Elon Musk introduced a subscription for the Twitter Blue badge, which was previously provided free of charge. It has now transitioned into a paid service, offering the sought-after and currently controversial blue tick mark that signifies authenticity. The subscription is priced at $8 per month or $84 per year.
Subscribers of Twitter Blue enjoy several benefits such as the ability to edit their tweets up to five times within a 30-minute window after posting. They can also share longer videos, experience a 50 percent reduction in advertisements, and gain early access to new features. Additionally, their posts receive prioritized visibility by the platform.
To access Twitter Blue, users with accounts older than 90 days can simply click on their profile picture located at the top left, in accordance with the platform’s policies.

Musk expressed his excitement about Yaccarino’s appointment and welcomed her to the position via a tweet, saying, “I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter! @LindaYacc will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology.”
