Travis Kelce Allegedly Contributes $100,000 Donation to Children Affected by Shooting at Kansas City Super Bowl Parade

In a generous gesture, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has reportedly extended both emotional support and financial assistance to two children injured in the shooting incident during the Kansas City Super Bowl parade on February 14. This act of kindness follows the news of his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, contributing a $100,000 donation to the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a shooting victim who tragically succumbed to her injuries. The combined efforts reflect a compassionate response from the couple towards those affected by the unfortunate incident.

According to a report from Page Six on February 16, Travis Kelce made a significant contribution of $100,000 to the Reyes family’s GoFundMe campaign following the injury of their two daughters in the shooting incident. An insider revealed to Page Six that Travis, with a profound compassion for children, aimed to ensure the families received necessary support and assistance in coping with their needs. The generous donation exemplifies Kelce’s commitment to assisting those affected by the unfortunate event.

The purpose of this fund is to aid the Reyes family in the recuperation of their two daughters who were injured during the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade,” states the fundraiser’s page. “The girls were part of a celebration with numerous family members when they were tragically harmed. We kindly request that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers as the girls undergo the recovery process.

On the same day, prior to this, Taylor, who had been cheering on Travis during his back-to-back Super Bowl victories on February 11, contributed two consecutive donations of $50,000 each to Lopez-Galvan’s GoFundMe. Alongside the contributions, Taylor expressed her heartfelt sympathies and condolences for the profound loss: “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”

The announcement of the donation follows Travis’ appearance at the Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, where he was spotted wearing a broad smile and a sizable wrestling belt, moments before the unfortunate incident occurred. Subsequently, his teammate Patrick Mahomes was the first to share a statement in response to the violence, expressing his prayers for Kansas City on Twitter, accompanied by a series of praying hands emojis.

In a later statement on the same evening, Travis addressed the heartbreaking shooting incident that occurred during the parade, resulting in one fatality and 15 injuries. He expressed his sorrow, stating in a tweet, “I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today. My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected. KC, you mean the world to me.”
