Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Bryant Say I Do After Five Years Together

On Saturday, September 2, Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Bryant celebrated their wedding day. The 55-year-old Tony Award winner and her 41-year-old fiancé, Bryant, wasted no time sharing their beautiful wedding portraits on Instagram just hours after the ceremony. Chenoweth looked radiant in a strapless bridal gown adorned with intricate beadwork, while Bryant chose a stylish gray suit for the occasion. The couple exchanged vows amidst a picturesque setting adorned with vibrant pink and purple flowers that harmonized with the colors of her bouquet and his boutonnière.

Numerous celebrities from their circle, such as Sterling K. Brown, Michelle Visage, and Jonathan Scott, extended their heartfelt congratulations in the comment section. Rita Wilson, who is married to actor Tom Hanks, expressed her joy, stating, “So happy for you both!!!!!! Two wonderful people who found each other!.”

Heather Dubrow chimed in with her congratulations, saying, “Congratulations to you both!!!! You make a beautiful couple.”

Chenoweth and the Backroad Anthem musician initially crossed paths at her niece’s wedding in 2016, where Bryant was part of the wedding band. It was not until they reconnected at her nephew’s wedding in 2018 that their romantic journey began. As their relationship continued to blossom, Chenoweth couldn’t help but feel anxious about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown on their connection. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in November 2020, she candidly shared her concerns, saying, “I think I maybe had a crying moment and I said, ‘Are you ever going to [leave]? Are you going to break up with me?’ Because, you know, we were together 24/7.”

During that time, she continued, “That truly speaks to the strength of our relationship. We were there for each other, holding hands, providing support when needed. That’s what really matters.”

With a touch of humor, Chenoweth also mentioned to Us that while she wasn’t entirely sure if marriage was in their future, she cherished the deep connection they shared. She said, “Honestly, I’ve never really been that girl. I think I’m going to approach life one day at a time, especially now in this period.” This perspective comes from the Broadway icon, who was previously engaged to Marc Kudisch from 1998 to 2001.

Almost a year later, Chenoweth and Bryant made the commitment to get engaged. Playfully, she shared in an interview with Vogue published in October 2021, “I’ve been the ‘runaway bride.’ But now that I’ve found him, I’m not letting go. I’ll be sprinting to meet him at the altar.”

Before Bryant got down on one knee, he treated Chenoweth to a tour of iconic New York City landmarks, which included visits to various Broadway theaters and a romantic dinner at the Rainbow Room. He then sealed the deal with a stunning three-stone halo ring. “My best friend and soulmate said ‘YES’ to me!” Bryant excitedly shared with Vogue. “Kristin is my world, my everything, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”
