In an exclusive report by Us Weekly, it has been confirmed that actress Torrey DeVitto and her boyfriend, Jared LaPine, are now engaged. The enchanting proposal took place at Torrey’s Michigan farm over the Labor Day weekend. According to an inside source, the engagement came as a delightful surprise to Torrey, even though the couple had previously discussed the idea of getting engaged at some point. She had no inkling that it would happen during that particular week.
Having connected through DeVitto’s cousin, the couple has been in a romantic relationship for the past six months. According to the same source, while they haven’t begun planning the wedding as of now, Torrey DeVitto is excited to commence the process. Their relationship became public when both Torrey and LaPine featured each other on their respective social media profiles back in June. Sharing a pair of adorable selfies with the Chicago Med alum on June 9, LaPine playfully captioned the post with, “Enter Cheesy/Sappy line here.” Clearly smitten, DeVitto couldn’t help but express her affection in the comments, writing, “I love us.”
In the same month, DeVitto delightedly posted a series of photos featuring herself and LaPine enjoying their time in Michigan. Capturing their joyful moments, she wrote, “Michigan Poppies and Pride #HappiestPlaceOnEarth” alongside pictures that included her sister, Maryelle DeVitto. Meanwhile, LaPine added to the romantic narrative by sharing additional snapshots of the couple amidst a blooming flower field on his Instagram. In a heartfelt caption, he wrote, “Here is to the present,” accompanying the picturesque shots, with one capturing the couple leaning in for a tender kiss.
Similar to his fiancée, LaPine has accumulated several years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has collaborated with Wil Granaderos to co-write and co-direct three short films: “Welcome Home,” “The One That Rolled Away,” and “The One That Likes You.” IMDb also lists his involvement in children’s programming, including the Disney Channel series “Dog With A Blog,” “I Didn’t Do It,” and “K.C. Undercover.”
On the other hand, DeVitto has gained recognition for her prominent roles in popular television shows such as “One Tree Hill,” “The Vampire Diaries,” and “Pretty Little Liars.” Additionally, she has been featured in numerous Hallmark Channel original movies. DeVitto notably portrayed Dr. Natalie Manning on NBC’s “Chicago Med” until her departure from the series in May 2021.

Exciting new adventures await!” It’s worth noting that she made a return as Natalie for the show’s season 7 premiere in September 2021 and also reprised the role for an episode in season 8, which aired in May.
