Facebook Smartwatch is coming: This is what sets it apart from Apple Watch

It has been known for a while that Mark Zuckerberg’s team is planning to launch a smartwatch. However, some details have now come to light that differs significantly from the functions of other smartwatches.

According to the online magazine The Verge, there is more to the Facebook smartwatch than first thought. Accordingly, it should not be a normal internet and app-enabled watch. Instead, it could bring an interesting camera feature, because the Facebook smartwatch should have a display in which there are not just one, but two cameras. One on the front, which is comparable to the selfie lens of smartphones, and one on the back, which should have more on it.

How good are the cameras on the Facebook Smartwatch?

The front camera of the future Facebook smartwatch should mainly be used for video telephony or for one or two selfie snapshots. The better camera on the back, on the other hand, is available for higher-resolution photos. The main thing about the smartwatch is the fact that you don’t have to remove the entire watch if you want to snap a picture with the lens on the back. Instead, it is sufficient to just disconnect the camera module from the smartwatch. In addition, photos that you take with the watch should be able to be shared immediately on Facebook and Instagram.

In addition to the camera feature, Facebook should also offer health tracking. You could then take your pulse, for example. The watch is rumored to be available in white, black, and gold and costs around $ 400. The release of the Facebook smartwatch is expected for summer 2022. It remains to be seen whether the watch can prevail against the strong competition.
