Emma Watson makes a triumphant return to Instagram, bringing joy to her fans. The Harry Potter star, who recently turned 33 on April 15th, shares a heartfelt reflection on the lessons learned in the past three years. After being away from the platform since December 2022, Emma treats her Instagram family to a series of six captivating photos, including one in color and five in monochrome. In her post, she reveals that the pictures were taken on her birthday last year. Emma also takes a moment to express her gratitude to her brother, Alex Watson, for helping her overcome the most challenging obstacles over time. In her update, she notes, “This is 33. Before the age of 29, I had never even heard of the concept of a Saturn Return. Let’s just say that now, I am well-acquainted with it.”
“I took a step back from my life and immersed myself in new experiences. I attempted to learn how to surf (with limited success), went horseback riding (which was better), and prioritized my mental health by attending therapy (which was incredibly helpful!). With my brother, I co-created a gin brand that utilizes recycled wine grapes called @renaisspirits. While in Mexico, I welcomed Sofia into my life, who is more of an angel than a dog. I participated in a Harry Potter reunion and bid farewell to my beloved Grandma and Grandpa. I retraced my steps, started a women’s environmental investment fund, and even tried to teach all of my girlfriends how to play golf after playing Pickleball with @sugarrayleonard,” shared Emma Watson.
The star of Beauty and the Beast went on to say, “During this time, I had a kitchen mishap where I accidentally cut my thumbnail off on both hands while cooking, leaving me with only one functioning hand for months. This experience left me feeling frustrated and upset with myself. I also gained a deeper understanding of love and what it means to be a woman. Although it took me three years, I finally established a daily routine that I can maintain for more than a few consecutive days. I let go of some things that were holding me back and embraced healthier eating habits. I became engrossed in designing websites using Squarespace. I also directed my first commercial.”
Wrapping up her post, Emma Watson expressed, “These photos were captured on my birthday last year, but I wasn’t yet ready to emerge from my Covid Cocoon. Today, however, I feel (accompanied by butterfly emoticons).”
